New europhobic attack by nationalism. A group of unidentified individuals launched a yellow paint on Tuesday against the headquarters of the European Commission in Barcelona in protest against the decision of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) not to allow access to Carles Puigdemont and Toni Comín in the constituent plenary of the European Parliament on 2 July in Strasbourg.

This violent action has taken place after the Catalan ex-president fleeing to Waterloo has attacked the European Union considering that “he needs a democratic reinforcement” and demanding the European Parliament to correct “the drift of repression”.

The decision of European justice added to the election of former Foreign Minister Josep Borrell as the new high representative of European diplomacy have represented two consecutive blows to the interests of Puigdemont and his team of lawyers. And the nervousness has been noticed.

Recidivism

It is not the first time that the delegation of the European Commission in Barcelona suffers an attack. On February 2, tens of militants of the ANC forcibly consented to the interior of both delegations coinciding with the transfer of the politicians in preventive prison to Madrid for the start of the trial in the Supreme Court. While some remained in their interior squatting the institution, other two hundred individuals of the secessionist entity blocked the passage.

At the time, the European Commission condemned the assault. President Jean-Claude Juncker even reported that the case would be studied to see if additional legal measures were taken.
