PSC leader calls on ERC “to have the political courage to tell Catalan society the truth”

The first secretary of the PSC, Salvador Illa, has stated that “we must tell the people the truth”, adding that “there will not be a referendum on self-determination in Catalonia”. In statements to La Sexta, Illa said that “in Catalonia we have already turned the page on a lost decade and on years that have been very bad for Catalonia and the rest of Spain”.

In other statements, this time to TVE, the leader of the Catalan Socialists said that “I ask ERC to have the political courage to tell Catalan society the truth”. Illa assures that “we have already turned the pages of a very bad decade”.

On the other hand, the socialist leader, on the blocking of the renewal of the judiciary by the PP, said that “it is serious and unheard of”. For Illa, “the possibility of interfering in a legislative process with legal guarantees is serious”, and that “this is the result of regrettable behaviour on the part of the PP”.
