The counsellor of Business and Knowledge, Àngels Chacón, has distanced herself from the request of the ex-regional minister Toni Comín that the response to the sentence must be oriented to “seek the economic wear and tear of the State”. In an interview on ‘Els Matins’ on TV-3, Chacón has been forceful saying that “harming the Spanish economy also hurts Catalonia”.
“If we harm it, we harm ourselves. It is as if we harm the European economy. We are in a global world, let’s see if we understand it”, she said.
Against boycotts
The counsellor has shown herself against an indefinite strike: “We must defend our rights but it must be clear that doing business is doing country”. In addition, she insisted on her position “contrary to any type of boycott”.
