The situation is difficult, and this article, too! The judicialization of political life is a bad thing; and the politicization of justice, too. But, very often, justice resolutions have political consequences; and certain political actions may have legal referrals. The limits are never as precise as one would like and, for this reason, everything becomes more complex, more difficult. As soon as the policy is requested to be imposed on the judicial route as it is claimed that justice corrects the political action. It all depends.
In fact, what is at stake are fundamental issues. Values of coexistence, freedom, respect and stability as a frame of reference for a future project. Justice has its role; Politics, too. Each one on their land; we must find the balance between freedom and legality, between rights and coexistence. Is not easy; It has never been and will not be in the future. Here and everywhere. The world – fortunately – evolves, but the values to preserve are the same. They can be read and lived differently, but their essence survives over time. The balance is always difficult. Learning to respect is the only way to be respected. When this is assumed, two tools are imposed: that of dialogue and that of the pact. And one scenario is the guarantee: legality. Even to change it; Democracy makes it possible. And, with this approach, politics and justice meet again on the path of ensuring progress in freedom.
Politics and justice will meet again the way to ensure progress in freedom
The year 2019 ends full of uncertainties and 2020 comes to us with very similar expectations. The problems are engulfed. And when things stretch they tend to get complicated, to get harder. Short-term euphoria give way to depressed pessimisms. But we must find a solution in the field of politics and with the approval of justice. This should be accepted by everyone, since the necessary stability passes through here; just over here What should be clear is that we should not prolong the current situation. Spain, immersed in an institutional crisis that does not help track problems and challenges to be solved. No budgets, no reforms committed, no defined project. In Catalonia, the division is not hidden: it is exhibited uninhibitedly. Between the similar and the different; among all. And also without budgets, with projects imposed from minorities far from the foundations of the real economy. Everything is blurred, foggy. And in Europe everything is about to be redefined. With Brexit riding and new antieuropeists who recover old intolerant tics.
The picture may seem catastrophic, but it is not. We all have enough elements of judgment to know what to flee, what to reject, what it takes to move forward. Everything is difficult, but the difficulty makes everything clearer. The options are more defined; we will have to take risks, but this is how the output of the current moment will be built. The limits are clear, but there is a lot of field to go to get there. Talking, agreeing, recovering the threatened coexistence.
