Non-partisan and pluralist communication and debate platform

Home » Content » A Catalan resistance to nationalist dictatorship is born
More and more activists free of nationalism, a force that grows proportionally to the increase in their intolerance, their fanaticism, their pathological hatred and the unusual cruelty. Those of us who resist only seek freedom, inclusive coexistence, plural thinking without supremacy, and peace. After these last elections two battles begin. One is "political-fratricidal", among the former pro-independence partners, today in a fight at each other’s throat - to "negotiate" who gets more power. In parallel another one takes place in the street, the physical one, animated by the same "domestic" contenders, whose objective is to cover up the ignominy and intimidate the citizens. This is how a dictatorship is imposed in a country, we are seeing it perfectly live. Good news emerges for democracy in Catalonia. A Catalan resistance to the nationalist dictatorship is born.

Separatism, or how to rule without the governed in Catalonia

After these last elections, we are faced with a “more of the same but worse”, which begins with two battles. One is “political-fratricidal”, among the former pro-independence partners, today in a fight at each other’s throat – to “negotiate” who gets more power, a negotiation that has nothing to do with the well-being of the citizenry, or with the pandemic, nor with the decline of the country, but –let’s say it clearly- with confrontation and “doing it again”. In parallel to the “domestic” battle, another battle takes place in the street, the physical one, animated by the same “domestic” contenders, whose objective is to cover up the ignominy and intimidate the citizens. In that battle, already known as the 2nd batch of the “broken glass” nights, with nothing to do with Hasél who will remain in prison, a Catalan “kale borroka” with Italian support, well equipped, trained and coordinated, burns and loots the city, (€ 2 million in damages).

It is the battle of fear without enemies that can defend themselves. Destroy street furniture and “bravely” loot shops, under the gaze of a lukewarm police, who are even persecuted because it is known that arrests, if any, will be short-lived and will be released without charge. The town hall, a fool in solidarity with the vandals and their inducers, joins in asking for the release of a prisoner for assault, not for singing.

Separatism will pay for this devotion by neglecting them. The barbaric distraction effect stops just when a basic agreement is reached on the distribution of the cake: the police will not use foam, 35 officers will be charged, imprisoned protesters will be released, a new referendum will be activated (or not) for the right to decide “what I tell you”, and the opposition will be denied from now on, and once again.. And, while we are here, we are going to show off: it will be forbidden that police and civil guards can be vaccinated.

The defendant Borràs takes control of the 2nd institutional power of Catalonia, and avoiding the principles of morality-dignity, she asks for and is granted, although in an opaque way, to be a public civil servant of a state that she hates and torpedoes. For more insult, Moncloa is not the least bit unfazed by the Catalan events. Its attention is focused on its dark and coincidental subsidies to Duro Felguera / Venezuela, and Plus Ultra, in addition to looking – now their turn – for their “tamayazos” [buying votes], to get the maximum of regional autonomies, after firing Iglesias the devil.

Getting used to disasters. Just like the invisible thousands of daily deaths from the Covid, compared to the first wave, have stopped affecting the public, the last nights “of broken glass” do not affect as much as the first ones. The human being adapts to disasters and in his desire for survival he ends up getting used to it, hoping that the fire, at least, does not reach the entrance door of her house. This is how a dictatorship is imposed in a country, we are seeing it perfectly live.

A Germany without common sense. Little has been said about those Germans, doubtful and even opposed to Hitler’s violent postulates, who either went directly to labor camps or ended up raising their arms with the fascist salute out of fear of being exterminated along with the Jews. What happens in Catalonia could have a chilling similarity to what happened in Germany, a nation that when it discovered who the fascists and murderers in the death camps really were, Berlin was already in ruins.

Here also a perverse strategy is agreed. The “lazis” [those bearing yellow ribbons], as a furious rejection of the acronym that we have posted on them, are not fascists, the fascists are us, the other Catalans who apparently oppress them and do not let them be free. In reality, the appellation fascist can only be applied to them, the secessionists who, by their own fanatical, intolerant and violent nature, are the fascists, and they know it, which is why they so fiercely invert that term and ascribe it tortiously to their opponents.

As happened with the rise of the French resistance after the invasion of the Nazis, good news emerges for democracy in Catalonia; A Catalan resistance to the nationalist dictatorship is born, from more and more activists free of nationalism, a force that grows proportionally to the increase in their intolerance, their fanaticism, their pathological hatred and the unusual cruelty that extends even to the dead that never were nationalists, without any of the leaders lamenting such nonsense. Those of us who resist only seek freedom, inclusive coexistence, plural thinking without supremacy, and peace.

The other good news is that the abstention has permeated the separatist vote, which only has 25% of its voters. Independence is the worst of all dependencies.
