Pere Aragonès, president of Catan Government (ERC)
Spanish Executive and Catalan Government have agreed that they will jointly analyze the execution of projects in Catalonia
Words are not enough for ERC. The President of the Generalitat, Pere Aragonès, and the Minister of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, Raquel Sánchez, took advantage of the inauguration of Google offices in Barcelona to agree on “the next meeting of the infrastructure monitoring commission to analyze jointly and project by project the situation of the execution of the infrastructures in Catalonia”, according to the president of the central government.
“This table will serve to advance in the promotion of investments, overcome existing difficulties and accelerate the development of works in progress,” Transport sources explained to EFE. In the 20-minute meeting, which Vice President Jordi Puigneró also attended, they discussed “the importance of reinforcing collaboration between the two administrations to boost the pace of infrastructure execution in Catalonia”, according to the Ministry.
“If they do not comply, the rupture will be inevitable”
Sources of the Catalan Government, have assured that the conclave has not been able to reduce the anger of the Generalitat for the low investment in infrastructures of the executive of Pedro Sánchez in Catalonia. “It has not generated any plausible explanation or commitment to amend”, they have sentenced.
An ERC source consulted by El Periódico de Catalunya, has warned Pedro Sánchez that he is putting too much stress on the fine thread that sustains the stability of the coalition government: “What is the PSOE planning to do so that everything does not break? Because if they don’t change and, above all, if they don’t comply, the rupture will be inevitable. They must move tab. Because it only depends on Sánchez.” “The schedule is very complicated for them. To whom will they turn to approve new Budgets, as the EU is demanding of them, almost suffocating them? How many defeats in Congress can they take? How many laws can remain in the pipeline? What stability for his government does Sánchez want for the semester in which he will preside over the EU? ”, The same source has questioned.
